First post!

Picked up my 97 Q with 127K 2 weeks ago

Need to change rear rightshock absorber (will have to change both rear) but I am debating whether to buy OEM ($200+!) or buy aftermarket... My goal is to upgrade to 18s once the current (16s) tires wear out... I'd also end up lowering the car but not sure what is the best yet affordable way to do so..

Any suggestions and pictures are greatly appreciated!! :dblthumb:

I'd get the BC coilovers from OG on Vip Style Cars forums. I have them and they ride AMAZING, but I also opted for the SWIFT springs. The front strut is attached to the spindle from factory, and OG is the only person I've heard of selling the BC's with the strut and spindle attached. most other companies sell the fronts without the spindle attached leaving you to cut and weld them. Its like $1100 for all four struts and spindles from OG last time i checked, the SWIFT springs are extra, but well worth it. If you've done suspension work before they're not hard to put on but just quite a bit of work.

Here's my car on the BC racing coilovers fully maxed out with collars, and 18's (that are for sale)

All my suspension was blown when I bought my car so I have no reference as far as stock suspension. But if you keep the dampening as low as possible it feels a little stiff but not kidney jarring.

Megan and BC are made by the same people and they're the same price, but the BC's are better quaility and last longer from what I've heard. those megans will ride decent though.
