I just wanted to let you all know, the Stillen muffler has broken in. It has a decent bark to it now. I'll probably post some new sound clips if anybody is intrested.

She sounds pretty healthy now

Any benefit, improvement in the car other than the exhaust note?

A full extremely loud [teeth rattling] cat back exhaust with 4 straight thru mufflers [dynomax] has been known to increase HP by 5-7...........on a good day.

Yeah, interesting that with Robert's ECU mapping, the G50 sounds a little meaner at high rpm now, as rswicki has said. Very much the way a thoroughbred high performance DOHC 4 valve V8 should without a flat crank.

It's seems strange to me that people buy oneof, if not the (i.e.- 1995 G50), quietest cars on the road and then want them to make more noise.

The Mustangs I pull away from sure sound mean!

No, not really. Just a look/sound thing.

When I say it's louder, I don't mean really loud. It just gives the car a low sweet melody.

When you are clipping down the freeway with the radio off and in O/D even with the stock exhaust you can hear a low rummble. Do you know what Im talking about? Now multiply that by about 4. Thats what it sounds like. Subtle but deffinatly noticeable.

Awesome! Are you gonna change the tip on it? I can't wait to get a muffler on my Q, and NO, I DON'T expect any power from it, I expect it to LOOK good and add a nice as you say, "subtle" rumble. My Q is far from the stock luxury car it once was; it's fast, it's got great brakes, it handles amazing and it looks mean.

Why do people assume because you installed an aftermarket muffler you expect an eleventy billion HP increase?

I mgoing to drop the car before I change the tip. This tip may look better when you look down on it a bit. If not, it will be changed.

You will be pleased with how the car sounds kevin.

Not everyone is like you. I believe I should hear the sound of one of the most beautiful sounding V8's Ive heard.

It also sounds good when Im pulling away from those ponies:)

Oh, I hear it just fine, as I said in the part you omitted.

Just doesn't sound like a speedboat.
