Y33 Question

As usual, I am stupid and I need help! On the driver's side of the engine bay of my Y33, there is a flat braided, 1/4 inch ground that attaches to the engine side of the wheel well.

Ahhhhh, I gues there is no face-saving way to say this ....where does the other end attach? (Ouch, that hurt!)

One side to the wheelwell and the other side to the exhaust manifold.

Thanks, Bullit...I noticed the exaust manifold end of the cable dangling this evening with the 10 mm bolt still riding in the banjo fitting. The bolt looked as if it had not been threaded into anything for quite some time. I've done all the maintenance myself for the last 4 years (1998 Q45t) but can't thing of anything that would require the disconnect of that ground from the exaust manifold.

Guess I'll have to figure out exactly where it attaches to the manifold and how best to get to it to re-attach in the daylight. Thanks again....although I haven't posted here in awhile, I read every day. This board is a large part of the fun that is owning and driving a Q. Your help is much appreciated.

Ok. I am going to make the question little bit harder to answer this time.

Uhhhh...what if the end that suppose to connect to the exhaust man. remain unconnected?

It's been a while like that in my car.

Actually I think its an add on after the car was designed b/c it looks so out of place.
