My friend just acquired Y33 Q45t (I'm not sure if it's 2000 or 2001) and found a button that switches between "sport" and "auto" mode. He wonders if his car is equiped with adjustable air suspension, and if so, he wants to know if he can buy an active suspension controller to lower the ride height significantly more? Thanks!

different from the 'full-active' setup.

i believe the sport tune just changes the metering rate in the front struts. there is no height control feature.

True, it just changes the shock rate, not the ride height.

Only JDM G50 President variants after 1995 until 2001.

...which leads me to an interesting question. If I were concerned about the longetivity of the struts on a 2001 Q45t, would I keep in in Sport Mode or Normal Mode? Perhaps it doesn't make a difference.

I would think normal to use the full range of the shocks. I only flip mine into sport mode when I put it into a hard turn. The difference is very noticable too.

so are you saying that there is the possibility for height control on a full-active q45? also, i've been wondering is that the same as the 'factory air bag suspension' on early q45's?

and hi, i'm new to this club

Yes you are and welcome!

Do a little reading of the previous posts (Q45tech's mandatory for all, texasoil for a owners).

You will learn there has never been a 'factory air bag suspension' on a Q45 nor any Nissan I can recall.
