Hey guys,
Had a couple S13 build threads going in the past, figured I'd give it a shot with the Q45 guys. Basically, I got my hands on a Q45 right before winter for cheap. Love the car to death, it's a great ride and I love the luxury it providers. As I'm sure fellow owners know, it's not worlds fastest luxury sedan. With that being said, I decided it was time for me to challenge myself and put my skills to the test.

With The Y33 Q45 really have absolutely ZERO aftermarket support, EVERYTHING has been fabricated by myself. Lot's of figuring, research, and trial has gone into this car already. Seems like the VH45 boys have it easy :-P.

Here are a couple pictures, I will post more tonight when it's running.

The car:

And one of the rear mount setup pre-wastegate and such.

If you manage to make such a kit with a blueprint for yourself, with proven results, you'd move a few on here alone. Keep up the good work.

That's the gameplan. This time, all of my corners and such were welded, not mandrel bent. I plan on geting a bender in a couple weeks and redoing EVERYTHING and making a couple at once with nice smooth bends everywhere. :) I'll post more pictures ian bout an hour.

It sounds very angry!!!! Wow, someone finally has a real mod for Q that produces HP. I hope you have access to a dyno so you can report HP and torque achieved.

Man does this thing build boost fast!!! Only takes a second to hit 4psi at 30% thorttle. I won't go any higher right now because I am running out of fuel. Even at that it leans out to near 14 >_< with the SAFC maxxed out.

I am getting a 255lph pump and FPR installed by Friday! Will post more videos and information as the days go on.

They are 17s off a maxima :-P I also have 350z wheels (the pink ones earlier) but I got a flat on one recently. I have a stack of 17" tires I'm going to go ahead and use up quick!

It's a small TO4E, I believe its 63 trim.

Did my first WOT run today to see exactly where I was at. Builds boost fast, but runs lean as soon as im over 2psi. Basically running a 14AFR at 3,4,5PSI then as soon as my wastegate opens I drop to 2psi a couple seconds later and run a 12.9AFR...so still pretty lean.

We are attirbuting the boost drop to the wastegate being too small/not enough PSI of a spring. The wastegate will not close again to maintain the 5psi because the exhaust flow is so much for it. To solve this, we are going to run more boost as soon as the FPR comes in on Friday. Planning on running 8PSI and seeing how that is handled.

This thing sounds TOO crazy. I have a new video to post later!

Have had it running at 6psi for a couple days now. Still slightly lean even with the FPR installed. We are running out of fuel, basically the fuel pump is not keeping up with the FPR. Putting in a 255 tomorrow!

No intercooler at the moment, and I'm actually VERY surprised at how cool the intake piping in the engine bay is staying. The engine bay looks 100% stock...just looks like I have a cold air intake. I can post pictures tomorrow.

Well, the car has been N/A for the last couple months. Just got done removing the catalytic converters and WOW did it make a difference in tone...should flow MUCH better for the new turbo setup.

I just pulled the car back into the shop for some things that will be done in time for Automotion next weekend.

List for this year:
T70 Turbo with a new dual tip 4" setup, one for turbo and the other for the wastegate.
ZEX Wet Nitrous kit
10 Injector mod. Which includes two extra injectors on the cold pipe. One will kick in at 5psi the other will kick in around 8psi.
300zx big brake upgrade with 350z Track rotors up front. (12.6" rotors I believe..)
240sx suspension conversion on the front.
Also going to be running a blow-through setup this year.

Our goal for this year is to make it to low 13s without nitrous on stock trans and engine. Which might not seem like a lot to you guys, but we are talking about a 4800lb luxury sedan with ZERO aftermarket support. Pictures will start happening tomorrow.

That's half the fun! I'm currently on the search for another motor, I'm not scared to be the test dummy and see how much everything on our cars can hold. Never blown a motor before, but I'm not scared to do so! I am hoping it holds up well, I don't see why this motor can't handle 500hp, nissan always overbuilds their engines. The nitrous won't be used very often.

Last year it held up to 5-7psi just fine. Had 20k miles on the setup and she still runs like a top! 230K on the motor and chassis!

S13xCrazy... You GO! Maxnix the douche, seems to always be negative against a mod he hasn't approved of; he's either jealous or elderly, I'm not sure which. I have had my RMT (Garret 4094BB) on for over 2 years. Thought it was on 10psi till last October thanks to a all-knowing "tuner-boy", but it was on 4psi fro about 2 years, no issues. It's been on 10psi since last October; again, no problems... I have a G50, so obviously there's differences in the engine. On 4psi, daily driver tune, it dyno'd @ 340rwhp/393ftlbs. I haven't dyno'd @ 10psi yet, but with a recent 4.08 install, this car screams. It gets attention and wins street races. No I don't drive like the elderly...Or Maxnix...Enjoy the ride, lets see pics of the setup and underneath shots.

Blow and find another sounds like you have no fear good for you! Blew my first motor years and years ago and it is always a fun first to replace under the shade tree. I hope that you decide to sell a kit or a parts list i I would be interested provided its close to bolt on.
