y33 odometer doesn't light up?

Since I bought my car, my odometer doesn't light up at night (with the lights on). Tell me it's broken, and this wonderful car didn't come without a light for the odometer.

2000 would have lcd display. i assume it should be backlit. my 97 (mechanical wheel odo) is backlit.

Not backlit. Damn. Gotta take it all apart to change the bulb????

EDIT: Do you think that the odometer also uses a bulb, or the LCD display itself illuminates? I may have to get a new one entirely if it doesn't use a bulb...

Mine doesn't either.I was trying to figure out if the bulb blew or if it just don't have a light.

It lights up on my A33, so I would assume it would on a Y33.
