Y33 Noises

2000 Y33 is very quiet apart from three annoying intrusions

1. On the highway there seems to be a slight drive line drone (no vibration) under load noticeable at 60 mph and above. It seems to be from the rear which makes me think diff or could it be tires. It has done 48,000 miles with a full Infiniti service history

2. Heater fan even on slowest speed makes a low volume but high pitched noise. I am wondering if it some leaf or other outside material that has got into the heater intake

3. A dash rattle somewhere from the RHS of the dash. Can't accurately trace the source and don't really want to start pulling the dash apart.

Does anyone have any thoughts on these

2. could be alternator. Had a wierd high pitch whir, thought it was several things, car died, alt replaced, sound gone.

3. those are the worst, and it's such a quiet car, you really pick up on wierd noises, take out glove box and replace air filters, while you have it appart, look around.

No idea on 1.

Fixed the heater fan. Removed it and gave it a clean and sprayed on some silicon lub. Replaced the under dash panel and presto very quiet and the dash rattle has also gone.

Just got to work on the driveline noise. I am wondering if it is tire related but I will find out this when I put on my snow tires and rims in a couple of weeks
