Nice, but the VH series is a true dual system into the muffler.Q_SHIP wrote:I am considering somthing like this.
As of december 31st, emissions will no longer be required for obd 1 vehicles here in NC, so I was considering doing the same thing, as well as getting rid of the cats.....not sure if there is much hp gain to be had, as long as performance doesn't decrease I might go with some straight pipe.....FarFetched wrote:What I 've been thinking is to eliminate muffler all together Just a straight pipe with some cool looking tips. Any takes on this on?Cheers!
That will work, but replacing a stainless steel muffler with another one is like treading water.Falkdesigns wrote:I'm leaning towards dual oval tips on a Magnaflow SS 2 in 2 out.
It's not restrictive at all, but it is heavy and is stainless. Why they last so long.Falkdesigns wrote:I'm not looking for any increase in power, although I must believe that the enormous stock unit has to be quite restrictive and I recall reading on this forum that the final muffler was the weakest link in the Q's exhaust.
The stock unit doesn't look stainless steel to me, looks like aluminum.
I got OBD II Q45 (y33). Before I owned heavy modified Jeep Cherokee with very loud exhaust system (BORLA). Where I live there is no emission required to get re-registration. I wish Q45 had more distinctive exhaust sound rather than stealthy quiet sound. I want to install a hitch to haul my bikes around and with bif fat-a$$ muffler I can't build one. I am not spending 400$ on hitch, no sir! I really wish that Q45 had a bit more distfjirousek wrote:
