Anyone know how to replace the bulbs that light up the ac/heater/defroster buttons?

Several are out and not visible at night.

Is this an easy fix? Or are the bulbs self contained requiring replacement of the actual buttons?

Thanks

I have the same issue. They can be easily fixed but you need to get in behind there. Each bulb is separate and it is expected for a car of that age. I have a stereo installation guy that is going to do mine, said it is an inexpensive repair.

I just had a portable xm radio uninstalled the other day and I asked the stereo installation guy to see if they could access the dead bulbs while they had the dash out. Said they couldn't access the bulbs. Maybe they were just lazy or really couldn't do it. I will try another car stereo place. Let me know if your guy has success.

Thanks
Eric

They were lazy, I was about to do a Pioneer Nav kit and they said it was easy as pie. I was going to order the bulbs but then backed off dropping a grand into the car when I lost my job. Now that I am working again I am toying with the idea, you should be able to get any good mechanic to do it. Be careful as the stuff is very tricky to undo, but the stereo guys had done several Q's already and knew there way around.

Does anyone know the part number for the bulbs? I have the same problem on a '93 Q45 I just purchased and have a new head unit I'm replacing myself, so it will be a perfect opportunity to replace the bulbs.

Problem solved, search my post "diagnostic information display" under my name for solution.
