Im losing my mind... I have no power steering and have attempted bleeding the system for several hours to no avail. I replaced the pump, assuming it was the culprit, but still have no power steering. After turning the wheel lock to lock until no air bubbles come to the top, I start the car for a second and shut it off and the fluid will foam and overrun the reservoir. I refill and do the same process with the same results every time. WTF AM I DOING WRONG?! :wtf2:

I fixed that leak, rebled the system and still have no power steering and the fluid still foams and runs out of the reservoir if I start the car for a second and shut it off.

Did you confirm that was the only leak?

Are you bleeding the power steering system (Engine off) with the front wheels off the ground or on dirt?

Yes. I've had it jacked up for the last two days. I slowly turn lock to lock and refill until there are no bubbles. Fire it up and no power steering still and it foams and runs out of the reservoir. Best I can tell, it means I still have a bubble somewhere thats pushing air through the return line when pressure is released. It had no power steering when I got it. The rack had been replaced and they told me it needed a pump. This started happening after I put the new pump on. My theory is that they didnt properly bleed it when they installed the rack and air is trapped low in the system. I dont know for sure though....

While I've never had this problem, could a solenoid be the issue? If you are seeing foaming and fluid running out of the reservoir, it tells me the pump is turning. There may be a solenoid controlled type valve "for speed controlled steering" that is not allowing fluid to pass. There is a post on here by subtle driver where he flipped part of the value to lose the speed controlled steering as he likes to AutoX his Q. It may be something you can try to rule out that possibility.

Here's a link to Subtle_Driver's thread. Remember he has a G50 that may be different from the Y33.

What worked for me to remove air from the Active Suspension system is to suck it out....

Buy this pump
http://www.harborfreight.com/air-vacuum ... 96677.html

Then find some fuel injection fuel line or vacuum brake line that fits one of the niples of the Harbor Freight vacuum pump.

Then go to Lowes/Home depot and find a rubber plug that fits over the power steering reservoir.
http://www.lowes.com/SearchCatalogDispl ... ubber+plug#!

Drill a hole in the plug and push it over the hose. Put a hose clamp where the rubber line meets the metal niple, Just in case.....

Make sure you have a compressor strong enough to power the vacuum pump.

Total cost should be less than $25.

Happy New Year!

PS: Pray your brake booster never fails because replacing it is not exactly easy!

UPDATE: I just bled the system more and found that someone fixed this issue with power steering stop leak. As i was bleeding i used the stop leak in place of ps flud to refill the reservoir. Started the car and voila. I have power steering now, but im getting a lot of noise, indicative of air in the system. So, i think a little more bleeding should finish off the issue. I have read that lots of guys have similar issues. I think I'e got this fixed.
