Y33 guys, does yours do this?

Now that it has been getting cool out, when i start the car, it whines a little bit. Maybe power steering or somthing like that. When it warms up, it's gone. Normal?

dont think its normal but,my Q has been making a noise at start up when pulling out the drive wayits a very faint whinning noise from the p/s.............so I guess we are in the same boat

Had a wine last year...water pump ended up being the culprit.

Wow, my car is doing that, I have 82k, I will replace it when I have my car service in two weeks.

Alternators can whine as well, haven't had this problem on my Q but I have had a lot of cars in my shop for service that had alternators going out that were making that sound.

Generally, I have no whine when starting up, unless it is very cold and then the transmission seems to whine.

Maybe for the first 10 seconds there's a little whine.

There was a noticeable whine a year or so ago, which was the alternator.
