There is squeaking/chirping coming from the rear end of my car when I coast. When I have my foot on the accelerator (even slightly) there is no chirping and as soon as I let off to coast, the chirping begins. It is loudest at lower speeds (20-40mph). Any light shed on what to lubricate will be greatly appreciated.

I can't imagine the diff would be causing that.. Normally they would howl from the bearings being bad. I would lean more toward an axle shaft going out..

Does this do it if you're coasting downhill and there is engine braking going on?
