I changed these yesterday and am I glad I did. The filters were completely choked and the entry side was full of degraded leaf particles. For those who haven't done this it is very easy and just involves removal of the glove box. Behind it are two filters that slide out after removing a metal clip. Makes me wonder whether the dealer ever changed them?

Dealers are happy to change them when you PAY for this optional service.

Change all filters annually and you will have a happy car.

There are several threads on this topic with the same conclusion.
