Hey guys,
Recently a member here contacted me for an air ride setup for his G50, and I actually had no problem sourcing one out. However, this sparked my interest for throwing some air suspension on my Q instead of coilovers. Although I love scraping, it makes it impractical for me to go through car washes and drive in winter. What options do we have for the Y33 Q45?

The only reason I ask is if there isn't any "practical" solution for this (i.e. over seas, a million dollars, etc.), and there is some sort of interest, I was going to put together a package using K-Sport components and all new S-chassis parts. Theoretically, I could probably put together a package in the ~3800 range. That would include new inner + outer tie rod ends, k-sport basic air suspension, S13 knuckles, 5 lug hubs, new lower control arms, sway bar end links + adapter brackets, etc.

I don't think it would be a bad deal considering you freshen up all of your front suspension components while you are lowering your car; plus you have CONSIDERABLY cheaper replacement parts from then on out. Even if it's back to stock height with S-chassis components.

Thoughts? Opinions? Let me know!

Search around, there was a Y33 guy that did it, I remember seeing the pictures of it awhile ago. The design is pretty standard so I think typical "bags" will be pretty simple fitment. Sorry I saw nobody replied so I thought I'd at least get you started with that. There is a place you can get KYB SR Special struts/shocks and Espelir springs for about a grand...I know that might be as much as coilovers or bags, but for me longevity of a bag system wasn't my style and the coilover seemed over the top and too much. I have the SR Specials and Tein springs and they work very well. Combine with some bigger rims and sticky rubber and the big Q will handle VERY well. I regularly joust with big Germans on the road out of my town and they don't leave me in the dust in the big turns.
