Y33 99 Q45T foglight mod (pics)

I recently replaced my HID bulbs with a set of 6000K bulbs and didn't like the contrast between the foglights and headlights. I ordered a set of H3 foglight bulbs that were "HID like" with a blue coating on the bulb but surprise surprise-the foglight bulbs still looked too "yellow."

So I thought I'd copy the look of Lexus and the QX4 with yellow foglights. I used a "Headlight Armor" kit that comes with a sheet of their "GT Yellow" plastic film (I also replaced the foglight bulbs with a yellow coated set from Ebay-just for good measure).

The kit installed easily and I am very pleased with the look.

Really makes a unique front end look, wonder how hard it would be to duplicate on the 94-96Q with tose funky plastic inserts inboard of the foglamp lenses? I think it would really "pop" having the yellow lenses with the dark green paint!

I have bought after market fog light bulbs and they do not last long. I even bought piaa which only last about a year. Instead of wasteing money on hid look bulbs I bought real hids for my fogs. I currently have 8000k headlight and 6000k http://www.cardomain.com/membe...l.jpg
