hey every one
iv just got my self a 1990 Y31 gloria SV
it has a blown (VG20E) motor , i have
found a low K VG30DE from a Y31 cedric
at my work im going to slap in its place
and thought il try manual it at the same
time , was going to go down the obvious
route with a Z32 gearbox but i come
across a Y31 manual conversion for sale
have purchased it and the guy im getting
it from reminded me the differences in
the flywheel bolt holes (the VGXXE have a
six bolt and the VGXXDE a eight bolt ) is
this correct ??? , any way he had a Z32
flywheel so he compered them and said
there the same diameter flywheel and
clutch face so i shouldn't have a problem
using the E gearbox behind a DE engine
with a DE flywheel , now here is the big
question . . . . . . do the Y31 E gearbox
input shaft a 24 spline ??? as im about
to buy a lighted flywheel and puk clutch
to suit a Z32 VG30DE , but wont have
conversion till next week so don't know
