ok so, pretty much everyone knows i have an electronic exhaust cut-out but here are the pros and cons.

THE PROS-Amazing sound and "WOW" affect-really good top end speed-the ability to make my car loud or quiet when ever i feel like it-faster 1/4 mile times

THE CONS-GROUND CLEARANCE!!! -getting addicted to the sound and doing 90% of my driving with it open

ok so i've been doing some thinking AND was looking at the Y-pipe from racingline.... i passed by my local muffler shop and asked about going with dual cut-outs with smaller piping (i have 3" now) so ill have even more flow then i do now AND i wont have any more issues with ground clearance.

this is what he told/showed me, he can make me a Y-pipe like the racingline one with flex pipes and flanges so i can bolt up my factory set-up when i need to get smogged or issues with cops. so electronic exhaust cut-outs will have way more flow, make the car louder, better top speed, no more ground clearance issues, plus it will have flanges to bolt to stock one when ever i want (i currently do not have flanges).

down side is that it will cost $450 PLUS the cut-outs which would be $200 or $300 (forgot which one)..... but i can sell my current cut-out for $150.... so what should i do? if i do, do it, it wont be till summer do to a lack of funds lol

Hey man. I got a brand new 2.5" QTP electric cut-out (inspired by you, haha!) I'll sell to you for half MSRP + shipping if you need it. I just got the stillen exhaust and it fits perfectly but my auto shop guy told me it'd be too low for the 2.5 S. E-mail me at [email protected] if you want to talk it out.

lol i've been thinking about it since racingline started talking about there "Y" pipe.... idk if i want to do it though. i mean $450 plus $300 (plus shipping) for the cut-outs.... comes out to $750 (maybe a little more). i can try and sell my 3" cut-out for like $150 or something but that would still be $600+ and its like, is it really worth it? i mean for all that money i'm not going to get much gains.....

i'm going to go to him again maybe tomorrow because i just thought of a way to save $200+ on it lol
