Welcome to the forum. I believe someone here recently tried the XYZ pipe but not sure if it was a V6 or V8. It should be on the front page of this sub-forum.

The motordyne XYZ pipe fits the RWD V6 only. I'm confident it is the muffler on the Q50 that gives its sound, the Y pipes look identical to the Q70 units.

I just installed the xyz on my rig. Very nice quality. I had the Stillen on it prior. The Stillen gave it a nice deep tone. The xyz may have made it a tad louder. Not much difference. And I kind of feel through the butt-o-meter that I lost a little low end power. Hoping tuning will fix that. And my car is a RWD, not the AWD model that I hear the new Ypipe has trouble fitting on to. But you never mentioned that. So the xyz pipe should bolt up ok. IMO, if you want loud and raw. Delete the muffler all together. But then you'll lose scavenging and low end HP. So you should've asked the Q50 owners what they did to get the sound your after. Good luck.

Postal, can you upgrade your profile info to show if you're a V6 or V8 for the future? Thanks :)

I recommend High Flow Cats instead of the Y pipe. When I had test pipes on my car it definitely had a loud, raw sound. The y-pipe on a stock exhaust may cause some unwanted side effects like lost torque and an undesirable sound. But I haven't tried it so who knows...

I'm so looking forward to getting my cats installed. Everyone says the same. More power due to better flow along with a more muscular exhaust tone
