Is it worth while installing just a Y-Pipe on a VQ35De? I'm curious about the benefits of this as my OEM pipe is starting to rust pretty good @ the flex section to pipe. I was thinking of Catmann or Warpspeed. The later being less expensive but have read about noise/knocking issues. I don't want a louder than stock sound. Perhaps a bit "throatier".

Y-pipe is a great, easy mod.

+2 for Cattman.

Do you have one on your car? If so, what differences did you notice? Did you loose any low end power/torque? Is it louder than the stock pipe? Most recommend Cattman. Quality and fitment I'm assuming the reason to be. The Warpspeed does look like a quality unit though, (from pics I've seen). Looks like it it might even flow better.

Stay away from the warpspeed y-pipe, Mine is still sitting in the garage after removal due to banging.

Could you elaborate a little more on the banging? Thanks.
