Y Pipe Exhaust

So, I've been getting this vibration noise in my car for the past couple of months. It happens on acceleration around 2500 RPM from 1st to 2nd and then 2nd to 3rd. Normal acceleration; nothing race like. Took it to dealer and they say they found a 2" crack in the Y Pipe and it's $700 to replace. Does anyone know if the the warranty on the M covers the exhaust system to a certain mileage or time. Don't have manual with me, so I thought I check here to see if anybody knew.

if you are 80k miles then you are SOL. I think it's 4 years or 60k miles for bumper to bumper.

One other possibility: Ask for it to be covered under the emissions warranty ... this is generally much longer and spewing stuff from your exhaust is a violation of Federal and state emissions requirements.
