y am i running sooo hot

after like a min i got to keep shuttin my car off cause it gets really hot real quick. When i make right turns my temp goes down pretty quick and when i make left tuns it goes reallly high and u can hear my coolant start to boil in my resivor. Its also keeping my heater from working at times....sometimes it works sometime it dont. im thinkin just replace the thermostat????????

Yes replace your thermostat. Also check on the water pump. See if there is coolant leaking from the weep hole.At some point invest in a good quality water temp. gauge. Don't rely on the dash gauge. It will not tell you when things are getting bad, just when things are shot.

Try the Thermostat first. Inexpensive and not too hard. If that doesn't fix it then check for a cloged cat conv. That will heat things very fast. Don't know about the Right turn, Left turn thing though.

Check your radiator cap while you're at it too.

Could also be air in the system, when you replace the thermostat and rad cap make sure you get all the air out.
