Recently I noticed that the the temp gauge neeedle on my 1998 Q45t has started to vibrate at highway speeds (70 to 80 mph) but not at slower speeds, even when traveling over rougher roads (loose needle).

I've searched here and in the FSM but remain in the dark. I can't even find out where the temp sending unit is to check for loose connections.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They are located on the top by the radiator hose housing in the center of the motor towards the fan. ( Did I say that right?)

You will see a connector with rubber cover on it. I had a same issue vibrating during hard acceleration on the highway speed.

I just pulled the connector up a little to get a better contact.

Thanks a ton, Audio. Even though the rubber cover was missing, I found it and it was a bad connection.

Once again, the fine folks on this board come through!
