Hey guys, this is the first time venturing into anything other than GenChat...so Hi!

A friend of mine's '01 Xterra was broken into recently and needs a new passenger side window. Does anyone know of a relatively inexpensive place to get this glass? Anyone selling a window?

Also, if someone has a link to a free FSM, please post it up, as I'll be doing the work myself most likely.

Thanks!

Is it front door glass?

I'd hit up your local salvage yards. If it's front door glass, any 1998-2004 Frontier Window would work, as well as any 200-2004 Xterra.

Sweet! Thanks!

I just picked up a front passenger side window from an '01 Frontier for $70 at a salvage yard. Perfect condition!

Now, does anyone have any advice for installing this thing? I'm pretty handy mechanically, but have never done a window before, anything weird or difficult about this install?

It has power windows, too - is this an issue?

Thanks so much!

Installing door glass is a pain. I'd even consider consulting a local glass shop or mobile installer to do that work.

You could have the door disassembled - panel off, etc. to save him time and save yourself the labor charges.
