I have a 2006 XTERRA SE and would like to put some Off Road packaging on it - specifically, I like to put on Bilstein shocks and struts which are OEM for the Off Road Xterra's. *BUT* before I do I'd like to verify if they are compatable with my current SE's stock suspension or is there additional hardware involved to do the switch...?

As long as you get the Bilstein ones that are stock length equivelant they are perfectly matched to your Xterra.

You will enjoy a very responsive ride when you change it over. It won't feel soft in the corners like a stock chock tends to do. You will also notice a slightly stiffer ride on the trail which is useful when trying to keep your 4x4 under control.

True but I have no way of finding this out short of going and getting the parts and measuring... right? Does anybody know already?

ride height and everything will be the same...you just get different, more agressive shock valving with the Bils.

Ive been trying to find some Bilsteins for my 2004 pathfinder but havent been succesfull. Does anyone know if Bilstein excluded certain years of Pathfinders for whatever reson?Wanted to go with the Bilsteins, but since I cant find them anywhere, I might have to settle for the KYB's.

Any Bilstein gurus out there?
