2002 Nissan Xterra SE SCI have been told by my local dealer that my high pressure hose is leaking and needs to be replaced at a cost of 450$Is this something I could conceivably do myself? Are the hoses actually that expensive? I am by no means a mechanic but am reasonably competent at following directions. Any info appreciated.Thanks.

usualy if the high pressure hose is leaking its from the shrader valve, which is a screw in pressure release that cost about $2 for a bag of 10. I would get a second opinion from an A/C tech.
