I have a friend who is looking for a CAI for an '01 Xterra. Anyone know where he can find one? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello, Search for K&N Air filters on the web site, they say you can gain 8-16 more horsepower on some vechicles.

They have several types available....Aloha

Every brand offeres the same performance and mpg gain... little to none in an non-supercharged Xterra.

Some vehicles is the key word in their claims. In the SC Xterra there is a 5-7 hp gain because the restriction on the airbox is removed.

The main difference is price & looks.

I have the Airaid on for ~ 70k miles. no complaints.

In all honesty I would go with the Volant cause it's and inclosed filter design which sheilds the filter from sucking in hot air. Next would be the K&N with it's heat barroir and type of pipe that won't get warn (volant has the same pipe matterial). Lowest on my list is the NISMO, it's all metal(which can get warm and warm the incoming air), metal sheild, but the best part is where the filter is. The NISMO kit places the filter in the federwell for plenty of cold air and it also has a failsafe for if you suck up some water in the filter.

Hi, I'm new to this forum...but not forums.

I own a '01 Frontier SC from new, and after 7 years of perfect service as a work truck, I'm getting the bug. I already have a Gibson Exhaust and a smaller pulley (not installed) that I bought 4 years ago.

What would be a good intake so I can finally install the pulley?

I have a K&N for my Z, and I heard the AEM was good for the truck...what do you think?

My '86 Z that I've owned since '91 has been heavily modified. (cardomain link below) I'm still working on the Z, but the truck needs some attention now.
