Have you guys (with the BOSE system) been renewing the XM Radio subscription?

I have 2 cars with built in XM receivers, and have been able to get the $77/year deal on both radios for the last 2 years.

There is no way I would pay more than this, since I only listen to a handful of stations pretty much.I was curious to hear what everyone else is doing..

Yes, I renewed. I had had XM radio before my Rogue for a couple of years and I love it.

How did you get a $77 subscription?? When I renewed back in February, I think the rate had gone up a little due to the merge with Sirius.

If you threaten to cancel they will almost always offer you the $77/yr deal.If they don't i would just keep calling back until you get a rep that offers it.

There is one overpass on my way to work that I get stuck under because of a red light occasionally. I lose my signal then, but that's the only time.

Thanks. That's good to know. I will remember that when I come up for renewal again ... that's a big difference!

Still not bad. I'm having problems every bridge or tree . Maybe I should look for some xm antenna booster.

see my post in an earlier XM radio thread...zer...radio

I have a $30 for 6 month recurring subscription. Better than the $77 a year deal.

I recently received a direct mail renewal notice, they wanted to renew me at $38.85 / quarter ($155.40 a year).

I called, told them I felt that was too much for radio in a car, asked about the $77 price (the same as I had last year) and was told that was a one time deal and not available, they offered "lifetime" of the radio for $400 or $500 (forget which) and a few other plans that where well over $100 / year, all of which I rejected. I told the rep. that if the $77 price is not available then to cancel my account when my current service expires, she had to transfer me to "cancellation" dept. and did.

I told cancellation dept. about the $77 / year price, they too said it's not available, I told them to cancel service at expiration, she then comes up with this "6 months for $20" ($48 / year!), I accepted that, she did say that automatic renewal after the 6 months would be at their normal rates, I told her that when that time came we'd see if the $77 price was available or cancel service.

We'll see what happens.
