Mmmkkkk I' am 99.9 sure the 300ZX(Z32) Xcrossmember fits on an S13 no problems. After doing a butt load of research I' am pretty certain the VH bolt in the J30 just buy rotating the mounts 90 degrees.

PLEASE PLEASE has anyone swap a J30 /Z32 xmember in a S13? Iam under the impression since the Z32 and the J30 use VG30DEs the VH should bolt up to car.

The reason I ask is because I know folks who just swap over the skyline xmember when doing the RB swap. I' am just hoping we have that same luxury.

The think the N/A Z32 uses the the same transmission as the S13 so just do a simple bellhousing swap. We already know the motor fits, apparently better than the Z32. I saw something about notching the frame, but for what the exhaust? I have done a search I found so useful info, but I' am just wondering if the Z32 Xmember is swappable and the N/A trans is identical(internally) what makes this so hard. Please people what I' am I missing here. I know obviously its not that easy or it would be more common. So what I' am I missing guys?

No the J30 Xmember wont swap into a S chassis. It bolts up totally different.

Im not even sure about the Z32 xmember into a S chassis. I have a VG powered S14 but I dont have a Z32 Xmember so I cant confirm or deny.

I wish the J would bolt up to the Z, or the Q up to the Z. would have saved from the P.I.T.A. work I did on my x, mostly due to using the factory headers. I had to cut up the sides and majorly reinforce to get it super low. VH45 fits grerat on J x. Just my experince.

R U sure? because the skyline(BNR34) is wider than the S13 and that xmember bolts rights on.

has to do with framerail spacing, the r and s chassis share the same frame rail width which is why you can swap xmembers.

If I had to guess, between 27 and 27.5 inches.

The Z spacing is 29 by the way, and the stock Q mani's fit with about .5-.75" of clearance on each side. The Q mani's don't have a hope or a prayer to fit between the S chassis framerails.

i got the passenger manifold to fit barely between the framerails on my car but there is no way in hell that the drives would fit.
