2002 I35 w/100k

Well in the spirit of Christmas my car has decided it too wants to partake in the festivities--it's decided to turn four of it's dash lights on all at the same time...

I have not yet pulled the codes as I don't have a scanner, but that is coming today...

I do take amazing care of my car. Service is completely up-to-date and I have all history--don't think it's from neglect--rather my hunch is it has something to do with the weather.

Any quick thoughts as to what the problem could be? As they all came on at the same time (last night) I suspect they're related. It's been pretty cold here...

Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the lousy camera phone picture...

It it showing two codes...neither or which have anything to do with the lights on the dash (I don't think...).

P0455 - Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (no purge flow or large leak). I am hoping this is just the gas cap. Will replace and see what happens.

P1448 - Evaporative Canister Vent Control Valve (Open). Again thinking (hoping) it could be the gas cap, but my gut tells me it's the purge vent valve sticking open.

Don't think either of these codes would cause the light show on the dash though, right?

Thanks for your help boys...

Evap codes will trip the CEL.

What are the other 3 lights? (I don't know the 5th gen dash all that well)

A lot of the time, Evap codes are caused by a bad fuel cap seal. You can check to see if your cap is sealing a couple of ways. One is to simply unscrew the cap after you've driven for a while. The tank SHOULD be pressurized at that point, so you should hear a hiss as the pressure is relieved when you remove the cap. If you do, you know the cap is sealing. The other is to simply try using a cap you know has a good seal to see if that solves the problem.

I don't recall if the 5th gen needs the computer reset to "notice" that the Evap problem is gone or not.

Still, there's no reason that code should be tripping FOUR lights.

The three lights (TCS OFF, ABS, SLIP) are all from the same problem--Left Rear ABS Wheel Speed Sensor. Is this tough to fix?

Any help here is appreciated.

The SES light was from an Evap Cannister (which I sort of figured). I paid them to do that one (which pained me to do...)
