I just bought an 09 Altima w/nav and I'm a long time Sirius subscriber with 6 radios.I would like sirius in this car instead of xm.Is it possible to convert a nav system to sirius?I know I can get the sirius plus with xm but it will end up costing me 17 a month instead of 7.

Welcome Lennie!

Ever call XM up and haggle with them? I know they will give you a year for $77... Im sure if you bust their chops theres some sort of deal available!

ALSO, you can buy XM giftcards on ebay for less than face value to make it cheaper!

Wow.I just got off the phone with XM and they wouldn't budge from the $12.95 a month. You would think with the economy being bad and XM and Sirius stocks plummeting that they would give me a deal.I will NEVER give them my business. The woman I spoke to had ice in her veins.I said to her that I can't believe that you would turn away business and she said nothing in return and asked if there was anything else she could do for me.On the other hand,I spoke with Sirius customer service about 3 hours ago because one of my radio's broke. They are sending me a new $99 unit for free-I just have to pay for shipping.I also told them I needed a home kit, which was $49 and they gave it to me for $25, AND they threw in an accessory for FREE, that would allow all radio's in my house tuned to 88.1 to pick up Sirius. That's called customer service and XM should take a page out of that book!

xm sucks, very little to be said further

your have two choices, one works for sure, the other is iffy

in 07, you could get Sirius or XM in your vehicle; you could try ordering the 07 sirius tuner and crossing your fingers hoping it would work.. again, its iffy. The XM roof-top antenna will work with Sirius but its not just great with reception so keep that in mind.

your other option is to get one of those audio-in adapters and keep the sirius receiver up front to control it

I got in on the $77 deal with free activation by asking to be transferred to the cancelations/retention department when the first person I spoke with wouldn't budge.

Couldn't get a discount on NavTraffic, though.

I'm a long time subscriber to Sirius and when I bought the coupe I got XM. after the free 3 months were over, XM was calling me to renew and I told them that I'd rather have Sirius. A couple more calls form them they finally offered the 1 yr package for like $70 so I was like why not. (real radio was killing me with all of the commercials) Now since the two have merged, I don't mind it as much. The two channels I missed the most which now I have is Hair Nation and Faction Those 2 rock!

Back to Lennie's OP...I think what he's asking is can we give Sirius our Bose ESN number to be activated on the Sirius network instead of XM and getting sirius channels.. Correct me if I'm wrong Lennie..
