I have XM in my '07 M35X...XM's customer service recently angered me to the point of cancelling my subscription. I am a big fan of Sat radio and would like to put Sirius in my car. The dealer wants $300+ to install the box in the back. Serius sells a universal box for $50.

Is it possible for me to do this myself with the $50 box from sirius?

In a word, no. XM and Sirius use different aerials (antenna). So while Sirius makes a universal box, it is designed primariy for aftermarket headunits which offer compatibility for both. Furthermore, the way the OEM system is configured you will have to use the Infiniti OEM unit. Look on the bright side, for 2008, the only Sat service offered by Infiniti is XM. I am about 97% sure on this. So everyone correct me if I am mistaken. I know this is true for my 2004 as I am contemplating switching to Sirius so I can listen to the Joey Harrington juggernaut that is the Atlanta Falcons. 0-16 baby!CheersM.L
