One moe Q I forgot to ask.....my new G37 that I'm taking delivery this week on comes with XM (ugh)....I'm a Sirius subscriber, and would like to know if an XM to Sirius conversion kit exists for the G37?.....if so, do you have a link to a site i can purchase this?......or, do you think it is possible to have the dealer complete the conversion for me, or whatever they do?

Thanks

Does your G have the Nav package? If so, I'm afraid you might be 'stuck' with XM - the traffic portion of the nav system is tied to XM Traffic.

I think Sirius used to be an option in the G35 sedan, so dealers might have the Sirius module in stock. If your car doesn't have the nav package you might be able to swap modules.

I'm still waiting to see if the XM/Sirius merger goes through. We have 2 cars with XM and one with Sirius, and I'm curious as to how the merger will affect (if at all) existing receivers.

spoke with a company called TSS Satellite, who advertises on Sirius....No conversion kit currently exists for Infiniti, nor does the dealer in my area do that.....I'll just have to use my aftermarket Sirius unit in the new car, as well as enjoy the 3 months of XM until it expires (Led Zep channel!!!)......I expect the merger will happen in 08, so everything will work out.....

Will the XM receivers that come in the G37s be able to pick up the Sirius channels with no updates or changes? We will just start picking up both channel lineups?

post merger, that is the expectation...prior, the guy at TSS told me to use aftermarket Sirius radio I currently own.....i'll rig it so it is easily removed....I'll also enjoy the 3 months of the all Zeppelin channel on XM and let the subscription run out....Howard Stern fan forever....
