Does anybody know the XM module part number for the Rogue?I am trying to see if it is the same as the one for 2005 Pathfinder 999U9-NV003.

Firstly, only the premium BOSE system on the Rogue supports sat radio.

Base audio or the mid-level 6CD/MP3 system available on Canadian models do not support SAT radio, nor can you add it. Your only option here is an external sat tuner connected via an FM modulator or the LINE IN jack.

To answer your question...

The number you quoted is an older model for the Pathfinder and slightly different than the newer sat receiver part #quoted below. Supposedly all Nissan sat receivers are the same, just different brackets and antenna connectors. Ideally, you should be looking for the newer components quoted below:

999U9-AS005 - XM Tuner for 2006+ Nissan vehicles999U9-AS006 - Sirius Tuner for 2006+ Nissan vehicles

The kit only includes the tuner and some hardware. Brackets, antennas, and wiring harness's are sold separately:

B8377-5W900 - Wiring Harness, only required for vehicles that have the sat radio option but are missing the wiring harness.999U9-VS002 - XM Under Glass Antenna Kit 999U9-VS003 - SIRIUS Under Glass Antenna Kit

Thanks, I was thinking of pulling out the Sat receiver out of the Rogue and transferring it to a Pathfinder, but I guess that won't work based on the part #'s.

Actually you should be able to do this. Firstly, your Pathfinder must have the SAT radio ready audio system with the in-dash 6CD changer. You just need a few things:

999U9-XS000: Nissan Pathfinder Sat Tuner Bracket, fits the #999U9-AS005 XM reciever

You may also need the harness and antenna part no's I quoted above. If your Pathfinder came pre-wired, the only issue you may have the antenna. In this is the case, you just need to purchase a proper glass mount XM antenna.

Hint: do a search for 2005 Pathfinder sat radio and you should be able to find a pdf version of the sat radio install manual. This will tell you everything you need. Ignore the part no's for the XM reciever, apparently the newer one from the Rogue should work just as well from my research.

phillipa, been following your posts for a while....great job, thanks!

just got off the phone with a tech from one of the vendors who said i can't swap out the XM for sirius. do you KNOW of anyone who has done this?

stupid thing is that even though sirius & xm merged, they don't speak to each other and can't offer multi-car discounts which is why i'd try & swap out the XM...thanks for any help you can offer.lou

Yes, the swap has been sucessfully done. All newer Nissan's use the same sat radio tuners. If it work's on the vehicle below, it should work on the Rogue as well:

Successful XM to Sirius swap on a 2009 Murano:zer...irius

You just have to ask yourself if it's worth spending the $200 for the OEM Nissan Sirius receiver... just to get Sirius SAT radio. Then again, I guess you could recoup some of costs by selling the old XM unit.
