XM radio working again?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

A few months back, after about 4 months of the free trial period, my XM radio subscription (along with nav traffic/weather) abruptly, but expectedly, ended.

This morning on my way to work, I was surprised by a traffic alert...and as it turns out, the xm radio and the weather service were working again as well. :wtf2:

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this some marketing ploy designed to lure me into subscription?

Thanks~

I got a notice from XM this week that you will be able to listen free from 05/25 thru 06/07, then you can get 4 months for $20.00 and a year for $77.00 BUT at the end of the period you select you will be automaticly subscribed for the full price UNLESS you call to cancel.

I would probably sign on again for $77.00 a year, but not for $150+ a year.

I currently have this on my MDX. I didn't have traffic since we don't live in a metro area. It was "turned on" free and there was a message in my MDX's "in box" highlighting this treat. It's a bit useful as we happen to be in Indy this week. I probably wouldn't have known it was on if we were still in town.

So, I'm thinking it will go away automatically unless you give em a call. I bought a lifetime for my MDX so I should be ahead in a couple more years.

So they re-activate XM Radio in your Car without your Consent... and then if you don't call in to cancel it after the trial is over, they start billing you ???

I'd tell them to shove it up their ASSS.

No, they should not start billing you automatically.

Dude, relax. If you don't like XM, fine, some of us find it useful.
And no, they won't start billing you unless you ask them to leave it on. I live in an area with limited radio stations and I'm not inclined to purchase a lot of music, so it's a great value for me. :dblthumb:

When I first got XM... the attraction for me was Commercial-free Radio.

Now, they have DJ's.

I thought Satellite Radio was broke and that's the reason why XM and Sirrius got married.

If they get rid of the Morons that talk in between Songs, they could save some Money on their Wages.

I'm done when my Subscription expires. :inoutgay:

My trial period expired as well, and I'm not renewing it. I wonder if the three panels dedicated to XM radio can be disabled/skipped on EX's dash console. Sometimes I press Source button on the wheel one times more than I should, so instead of going into Ipod panel, it goes into now non-functioning XM radio. So then I have to press it four more times to get back to Ipod.

I had another vehicle which had XM lifetime in it. The car has been destroyed. When I called XM to transfer service to my new vehicle, they did and what did those idiots do? You guessed it... They charged me again for lifetime! After calling them for the last month, they have agreed to refund the money and each time I call they say it's in the works.

Talk is talk. I have spoken to them 7 different times to get a refund of a charge that was clearly their fault. They admit it. They still won't refund the overcharge. Since I charged it with AMEX, i will let them deal with it. Since I really enjoy XM, I can't make too much of a stink, but I sure will let others know that their customer service people are incompetent.
