Same thing happened to me actually. I just got all of the "welcome to XM!" stuff through the mail about my free trial last week.

Something tells me the Nissan folks forgot to notify XM that the car was sold. Prior to me getting that letter I was unable to sign up for an account on XM's site with my radio ID...so I'm pretty sure it's because there was a 3-4 month delay between when I bought the car and when XM was informed the car had been sold.

My XM subscription went off in late January. Since that time I have received 2 mailings and 2 phone calls from the folks at XM radio.

The last one was a "come back to XM for half price" card in the mail. The offer was to wave the "reactivation fee" and for a year of XM for $77. I didn't read it close enough to see if there were other taxes or fees associated with it...just tossed it. I just don't spend enough time it the Rogue to be paying for radio.

I did like the XM, so if you want the service, I'd give them a call and ask about the offer.

I only received 3 months of XM and never received any information from the dealer or XM until last week informing me that my trial will end on the 20th.

I bought my Rogue in June and the XM satellite radio was already activated when I picked it up. Nissan Canada offers a 3 month free trial of the radio. I am approaching 6 months and the radio is still working! I am not complaining; I will keep listening until it turns off.

Has anyone else had their XM satellite radio stay on beyond the free trial?

My XM only went for 3 months but back when we bought a VW and it came with Sirius, we got over a year free. I think the dealer just never notified Sirius when the car was sold.

I do like that $77 XM for a year. I may have to try that. What did the flyer give you? All of XM and the best of Sirius??

I just bought my 08 Rogue SL, AWD Premium Pkg used (only 7k miles on it).

The XM trial is already expired. My fiance has a Sirius subscription, though...so I was wondering...since the merger, would I have to activate XM separately, or is there a way to add on to his Sirius subscription for cheaper?

Any ideas?

My subscription ran out just before Christmas. I had XM for 6 months.

I went on the XMradio.com website and for the heck of it I clicked on activate my radio, entered the serial number and it gave me a 3 month free trial! So I am still listening for free until the end of March now.

We bought our Rogue last March and soon became hooked on XM because of the Major League Baseball coverage. I pay about $13 a month...we listen to nothing else but XM/Sirius

When I got the Rogue, I thought "Satellite radio...whatever."

Then I found the NHL channel and became instantly hooked. I actually signed up and paid a year in advance the day after I bought the car. (The trial on mine was three months, which I still got.)

"Chill" (84) is awesome for night driving.

But overall, I find I don't listen to much more than three channels (aside from flipping through live hockey broadcasts).

I had the free trial for over 6 mos...they called just yesterday to offer me a ton of options ranging from $20/mo to $20/YEAR. I still said no...I have 6 discs filled with mp3s.

i've got 2 radios with sirius and now the rogue has XM. they are the same company, but aren't linked on the computers, so they have no way to offer me a multi-radio discount. both sirius and XM don't seem to care about their customers in these troubled financial times???? strange....and sad...

as an option, has anyone put a sirius in their rogue?

I just renewed my xfm after having it for free trial period. The best deal they gave me was $30 for 6 months with no activation fee.
