XM Radio

I just bought a 2008 G35x with the premium package. It had 1,000 miles on it. I think it must have been a fast lease repo. Anyway, as far as I can tell I have XM radio. The dealer told me it was just a trial package. But it sure seems like the real thing. I get about 200 channels. Is there such a thing as crippled trial version? Or am I working off of somebody's subscription?

I believe the trial package is the number of months for service and has nothing to do with the number of channels. My XM trial ended 3 months from the activation date. I let mine expire and XM contacted me and offered another 3 months for $14.95. I will keep doing that until they stop the offers.

My subscription is expiring. So far all they are offering is 145 for a year or 123 for 2 years. Am I gping to get better offers if I wait them out? What is eveybody paying out there?

So its an annual subscription. That means my radio will stop working in January when the one year is up. Maybe I'll be lucky and the previous buyer bought a two year subscription!

Call them back and tell them you had a friend who got the deal 77/year. Tell them if they give you the deal you take it if not just don't order it. They usually go for it. If not just try to call another day. The deal was real last year but people still asking and getting the deal.

Personally I think I'll just get an I pod Nano and loadid it up.

I'll give it a try. I do have a nano but its a pain to get past the first 200 songs when it starts over every time you go to ipod. I want random but it want give it to me.

Update: I called today to cut a deal to renew. The first operator wouldn't deal and transferred me to another operator to cancel ( remember it's auto renewal, they have your credit card.) This operator offered me the $77(half price deal) to renew and I accepted. Even if your going to renew anyway call them, tell them your going to cancel and they will cave!

I refuse to pay more than $5 a month for XM. Pippen99 had the right idea!!! (I've done that for many products)

Glad you did it. That's why I told you. They go for it. They are desperate to get some money and willing to go for half a price. Now just remember to do the same when the year is over. Just tell them over the year you did not listen much of the radio and 144 just too much.
