I just recently bought the Pioneer Inno - XM Satellite portable receiver. Got the base unit for my house & th Q.

All I can say about this......... EH! It's OK!

I bought this thing to try help ease my mind on this incredibly sucky drive I do now from Orange County to North LA everyday. It's the whole reason I bought the Q in the 1st place, cuz I knew this drive was gonna suck.

It sucks alright! The Q makes it better and I guess I had higher expectations for XM.

Be forwarned. It's like the extended cable TV plans these days. You got 1500 channels of crap you don't like or need.

Luckily the Inno acts as an MP3 player as well. So you can record hours of your own music. Maybe once I do that I'll be more satisfied w/ my purchase.

Just a heads up!

I actually like XM radio. I never really heard it until they gave me a delphi XM boombox for work. I listen to a lot of hip hop/rap/R&B and the three stations that cater to that genre here in utah have identical playlists. The XM stations actually mix it up a little more and i like the uncensored stations. Its ok i guess i woulnt mind paying for it.

I sorta agree. I only have 10 channels on my presets and I usually only flip through about 4 of them

XM is amazing, its wellworth my $10 per month. Back when I bought my radio i was deciding between XM or an Ipod, and I chose XM and have not regretted it. I like being able to flip through stuff thats already playing rather than have to chose. I HATE HATE distractions when im driving and an ipod is one hell of a distraction.

Yeah I guess it get's down to how close minded I am about music.

I'm pretty much just a classic rock, blues, some reggae and jazz kinda guy.And you gotta sift through a lot of crap to get the good stuff in those categories.

I do like the remote though. If only I had a childs hand! It's small.

I gotta get this thing all hardwired in though. The little cords for the lighter plug-in power supply, tape deck input, and antenna hanging all over the dash of my Q.

I use both XM (since 03) and an iPod (since 06). Its nice to be able to have someone else run the playlist once in a while. I canceled after they suspended Opie and Anthony, but after a few months I resubscribed. O&A are back.

The first owner of my Rover had a Pioneer tuner installed that works quite well, but I still keep my iPod handy when I'm in the mood for a particular song.

I use my XM2Go on the train and anywhere else I want to be connected to the outside world while on the go. I've even used it discreetly on the plane. Nice thing is, its a true portable tuner so I can walk around and enjoy a live signal or drop it in my home cradle, or drop it in the car cradle in the Cadillac.

If my office had windows I'd have a second home cradle, but XM online will suffice.

XM online is okay but it's missing some stations. I'm not quite sure why either.

If you're a first time subscriber, call 1-800-682-4114 and tell them that you saw a postcard for an introductory $77 rate. If by any chance it doesn't work, just say thanks and call back later and get another rep. (I don't know if this will work for existing customers, but it can't hurt to try).
