I am getting an Altima Coupe 2.5S without the premium package (no Bose stereo), and have an external Pioneer Inno XM radio receiver. From the pictures I've seen, it looks like the coupe still has the antenna mounted on the roof, even without the premium package. Is there any way to hook my XM receiver into the existing Antenna?

If not, how good reception will I get if I just put the car antenna that came with my receiver on top of the dash or on the rear deck?

Thanks.

I'm surprised no one responded to this. Sorry for the late reply. I know you just picked up your ride

Anyway, I don't see this being feasible. The existing antenna uses the hook up made specifically for your stereo. You'd have to do some serious modification for that to work and I wouldn't know where to begin. You do have a very good idea though.

I had XM for awhile. The antenna is magnetic (wire leading to 1" x 1" magnet). I stuck mine to the windshield frame of my jeep on the inside and rarely ever lost connectivity. Worked well.
