XM radio alerts

Ok so I just got my G this month, it only had 100 miles on it when I picked it up, and yet it looks like someone had set some kind of alerts on the XM radio. For example, I'm listening to the Grateful Dead channel, and all the sudden it pops up some message that some other artist (I can't remember who) has a song starting on channel XX. My Wife's 2011 EX35 has XM/Navigation and doesn't do this, so what gives? Does anyone know how I can make these alerts stop happening? It's quite annoying.

It is a favorite list. You will have to go thru the menus to find it
or call customer service to assist you

Did you check the owners manual?

I did check the manual, but was unable to find anything about this. I did find where they were stored though and deleted them.
