xm question for the doc

i ve been reading threw these forums and you seem to be the expert on audio so here it goes. I just bought a altima sedan and it has the standard cd player. I have seen one on ebay for 200 its a 6 disk bose cd player.First is 200 a good price for that player? And second How would i get xm to work on that player or my standard player? Thank you for any help!!IM a frist time nissan owner and im loving it!!!

OK, first, yes, if its from a 2007 or 2008 Altima, then 200 is a good price, that's what I sold mine for... (they go for about 600 from the dealership)

Unfortunately, you can not get XM to work on that player without buying a few extra pieces. You need the XM radio tuner, which is a seperate box, and the XM radio antenna. The antenna is mounted on the top of the vehicle (the shark fin) and the XM tuner is a little metal box that goes in the trunk. Again, I do not think it would be worth it going this route. Also, the BOSE deck is a little bit different than the standard deck, so your music will be VERY low if you connect the BOSE deck up to your system. That has been the experience f folks on this forum that swtiched out the standard CD player with the BOSE 6 disc cdplayer !
