XM question- 07 m35 sport.

Just purchased an 07 M35 sport. I love it. It does have xm, Is there a way to make it work without having to use an external xm receiver? Thanks.

If your M is truly equipped with XM, then all you have to do is subscribe to the service. Goto XM radio (you should be able to listen to a couple of advertising channels, but will have to search for them) by selecting it on your console. Got to Channel 0 or 1 (can't remember which). The display will provide your unit ID number, which is unique to every XM radio.

Then get on their website and sign up - its quite simple. If you already have XM on another car, or a personal device, you can add your M to the existing subscription. I did this and they were able to make them coterminus, which was a plus for me as I prepaid under the multi-year discount. At the time I did it, the additional subscription was $6.95 per month.

With XM, I find I rarely use my iPod any more, except when mowing the lawn, or out in the yard, puttering around.
