XM free 3 months

Just picked up my car and am supposed to get 3 months of XM radio. When I go to aux it runs a commentary about the stations but I can't get to any of the stations. How do you activate? My salesperson didn't know, said he'd get back to me.

Use the AM/FM/SAT button for satellite radio. Not the AUX button.

When in satellite mode, I believe channel 1 is the station overview if your radio is active. Try other stations. If you still have nothing, then go to channel 0; on that setting you will be able to read the registration number for your radio. Write down the number. Go on-line to Sirius/XM; where you will find either a number to call for activation, or an on line process for activation; it's quite easy. Even if your radio has already been activated for the free 3 months, you will eventually need to switch it over to a full subscription if you want to keep theservice. This can be done at any time, even during the free period.
