XM Antenna Location

I am planning on using a soft-side luggage carrier for a trip to Canada. I don't want to cover up the XM radio antenna.

Where is it?

It's at the base of the FM antenna that sticks up at the back of the roof. Closest to the rear hatch. Anything surrounding the antenna can affect reception. Remember the satellites are to the south in the sky. Anytime you drive south and have something in front of the antenna, it may cut out.

You will probably experience more trouble on your way back to TX than going up to Canada.

If you look partway down this thread, you will see the differences in the antenna's. The one with the larger base is the sat radio version.
