XM Adpater for '03 - '04 M45....anyone install one ???

I want to install a tuner on my non-nav M45.... Anyone know what parts, where to get, and install for this mod?

You need the XM sat unit, which is like $400 or so. I personally would get a removable unit like this one:http://www.bestbuy.com/site/ol...22605

I am working with one of the forums supporting dealerships on finalizing pricing as we speak.

It takes a harness to plug into the factory changer port and includes the tuner to work through the factory SAT button.

Give these guys a call to get a receiver and antenna. http://www.infinitipartsusa.com/ Service and prices are unmatched. There is not a bracket in the receiver kit (to attach the receiver to the fenderwell) so get two of those also (one for each side of the satellite receiver). They will also send you the factory instruction guide - or e-mail me if you need it - I'll send you the one I got from them. They can also tell you (by VIN) if your car is prewired. If it is, let me know and I'll tell you how to find the plugs - if not, you'll need to buy a wiring harness from them as well and get advice from someone else on how to install that harness (mine was pre-wired). The guy who posted his nav system and ipod in his 03 can give you good advice there.

If you're trying to install xm or sirius you'll have to get the wiring hardness too. I paid almost $100 for it. the 2003 m45 didn't come pre wired to plug and play satelite radio I think only 2004 and up came pre wired, You'll have to give them your vin number. You'll have better luck finding that wire thru one of their techs. This wire plugs in the back of you're cd changer and also the cassette player, then you have to run it to your trunk. Hope this points you in the right direction
