so my passenger HID has been acting up. it doesnt want to turn on, no matter what i do and then it'll just work when ever it wants.... my relay harness was the biggest waste of money and a totally worthless POS! the wire hooks up to the battery and (not sure if anyone else is having this problem) i get INSANE corotion on my battery! so it blocks off power to the relay harness and my lights dont work! well i cleaned it and the passenger side still doesnt want to work. so i took off the relay harness and the wrench was on the POSITIVE side of the battery and it hit some metal piece and there were sparks and i think my bulbs are burnt out... everything else is fine, just the lights wont work... so i put the factory bulbs in for now... i might try and get another HID kit from "nissangtrpower" ebay seller who just by chance has a store next to the mosque i go to. his are made in Germany and have a 3 year warranty and hes local. so i'm going to make sure i have my auto function working or ill get my money back...

I'm sort of glad I didn't hop on the Xentec boat immediately when there was quite a bit of hype about them a year or so ago. I still would LOVE to add HID's to my car, but the auto-on problems and general HID problems are keeping me at bay for now...

Nissan should do them like Toyota's and go from off->interior->headlights->autoinstead of Nissan's own off -> auto-> interior -> headlights.

the xentecs are good BUT you got to get the fat ballast... the slim one doesnt like the auto function... when i got my HIDs, i didnt know that. either way, they were really nice and worked good.... today was electrical hell for me... i took off the HIDs and put in the factory ones in 100+ degree weather, in direct sun light.... then when it cooled down i took off my cut-out because that stopped working too. it had nothing to do with the HIDs, just happen to go out at the same time.

I never had a problem with the auto on my xentec super slims until the one ballast just broke. It was kind of a good thing for me though because it motivated me to take the HIDs out of my fog lights and just use regular halogens. I live in the country so my fogs are always flicking on and off cuz i use high beams a lot.

Ill be watching for that corrosion though, I just installed a relay.
