I got the 8000K because i used to have it on my sentra and i liked the blueish/whitish color it gave off

I ordered mine today hopefully it'll get here before friday

mine is a dark slate color too it seems to be a pretty popular color around here

i hope it will not affect the automatic light feature its very useful

I have the xentec digital slim ballast lights. And i can tell you that they absolutely do not mess with auto light features.

@08coupedriverwell for me, they are about 3x brighter than the standard hallogens. But i have the 6000k temp bulbs...since you have the 8000k bulbs you're light output will be less. Remember, the greater the color temp, the lower the lumens.

Past 5300k that's true. 5200k is definitely brighter that 4300k

Don't leave in "auto" all the time. Turn it to "off" when you don't want to use it. Turn it to "auto" when it is dark.

I highly recommend you to use a relay harness. This way will always protect your OEM harness and your hid kit will get the power straight from the battery. Do the right way and be worry free. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

Protect the OEM harness from what?? The ballasts only draw 35watts. Thats only 3 amps....as compared to the 50/55 watt bulbs that are in there for stock. They draw 5amps. So having the digital ballasts are actually safer on the harness than the OEM bulbs

Stupid question...

When I order them online, the type that i want is H11? I have a 2.5S.

-Edit: I've never done anything like this, anything I should be aware of before I buy them?

Edit2: I'm debating on 5k or 6k... As I understand... 5k = white, 6k = light blue tint? I have a Silver Altima 2.5S

Related question... when any of you with aftermarket HID's run your high's, do the HID's stay on, mine do. This is good, because you don't have to worry about burning out the HID's switching them on and off, but why would it do this??

well I just installed my SECOND set of these tonight, a ballast on the first set went bad so I returned them for a new kit. I am already having problems with them AGAIN, sometimes one of the lights wont turn on in either "auto" or "on" modes, I do not think I installed them wrong as there really isn't anyway to install them incorrectly. Anyone else having problems? I'm going to have to go back to the stockers because these have been so unreliable.

I kinda suspected it might have something to do with power delivery, but I hadn't heard anyone say that you needed a relay with this kit so I never got one. The information on that ebay listing pretty much lists the issues that I've been having, so I will be ordering one ASAP. Hopefully it gets rid of the problems, I'll post again after I get the relays installed.

has anyone else without the relays had any issues? i just installed mine today. i got the 5000k and those things are HELLA BRIGHT!!!!!!!!!!! like the brightest lights on the road. it's pure white with just a little blueish tint. i noticed that when i have in on the "auto" position when i start the car at night, they turn on and then off and stay off. then when i turn the switch to the "off" mode and then back to "auto" or "on", then they come on. i just have this issue when i start my car. i guess leave them on "off" when i start my car lol i love the HIDs though, it makes the car look so much better at night

When I got my fist pair they seemed to work fine for the first month no matter how I started the car or what position (auto or on) they were in. Then one night when I was almost out of my neighborhood they started flickering and then went out. I do not wish to repeat that again with this pair so Im going to pick up the relays.

hmm...i think flickering is a ballast issue...not power...hussains seems more like a powere issue which the relay should take care of..

i think i'm going to just order the relay next week or maybe over the weekend.... i also want to order some other bulbs for my high beams and fogs. i was thinking about getting another HID kit for the fogs but it's way too bright the way it is so i'd just like some bulbs that are the same color as the 5000k. what kind of bulbs have you guys used for the fogs and high beams?
