Hey everyone. I just got a set of xentec h11 kit for my 08 coupe. Is the coupe a plug and play system or will i need to wire it to the battery?? thanks for your help!

Did it come with instructions? If it didn't with a relay harness then you don't need to hook it up to the battery.

thanks everyone..One more quick question...Just to reaasure, i should disconnect the negative power terminal also while doing the installation. The stick on things they gave for the ballast are crap, any other suggestions? I got the regular sized ballast, if i would of known i would of bought the slim ones.

yea i would disconnect the neg battery terminal

the double sided tape they provide is very strong, but i would use zip ties as well....just incase

if you have the "auto" headlight feature, the larger ballasts have been actually said to have less firing up mishaps

You do not, I REPEAT... you do NOT have to take the lights or the bumper off to install the HIDs. It helps if you can put your car on a slanted surface... but if no it can still be done through the wheel well.

There are two ways of installing hids for your low beam. Either take the bumper which takes more time but it gives you more room to mount the ballasts and run the wires nice and neat. The other way is installing through the wheel well which probably takes less time but you wouldn't have much room to do a clean installation. In my case, I took the bumper off to mount the ballasts for the fogs and low beam. I also have relay harnesses for fogs and for low beam. Haven't had a single problem for about 7 months now (I have fat Xentec and X-light ballasts).

The picture shows where I mount the ballasts if you need any help. Have fun in the frigid weather

thats where i mounted mine too....perfect location. i have to disagree about the time it takes to get the bumper off. by myself i can take off and put back on the bumper in around 10 mins. once you do it 1 or 2 times, it becomes so easy.
