I installed these (using the stcky how-to) in lieu of my stock lows about a month ago and have no problems to date. They are plug and play and really did the trick. They come with a mounting bracket that really made mounting the ballast (not slim) super-simple. I could've saved a bit of time by taking the wheel off, but decided to squeeze between instead. Can't say how happy I am with them.

$99 shipped-I think I saw a link to the site on the forums.

Update: See below...possible faulty ballast?

Just a question...do you usually have your lights on the "auto" position? Still slowoly shopping around and just been reading about some problems with certain HID's (one side coming on) in the "auto" position. Thanks

Well, as a precaution, I haen't been leaving them in the auto position. Pretty much turning them on and off when needed. I will try it out and see.

All in all its a very minor inconvenience...and even less if you have never owned a car with this feature.

A friend referred me to HP Racing in Glen Burnie. They were pretty good, just the usual dot matrix on the back window if it bothers you. The price I paid was $150 which is with the high performance tint. Supposed to have been $180 but they had my car for 3 hrs total n I complained. This was my first time using this shop since I moved in the area. Before, I have always used a tint shop in Kensington of of Connecticut Ave. Can't remember the name but it is next to Trick Trucks. Good Luck

Let me know. Did your HID's come with the relays? If so, did you use them? Just waiting for some free time to order ine and try to install them from the wheel well.

oh ok, i know where the Trick Trucks in Kensington is. so they didnt tint over the dot matrix on the rear window? from what i understand a good tint shop should know what to do....put some vinyl over the dot matrix, then tint over that.

no, my Xentec's didnt come with relays, but i bought some anyways. still had some problems with the bulbs not firing up on start up, and it got so bad i just ended up taking off the relay's. i think it might have been that i didnt have the relay kits grounded properly, but ever since i took the relay's off i havent had a problem with the bulbs not firing up, so we'll see if i put the relay's back on or not.

I'm not sure to be honest. The dot matrix doesn't bother. I like my cars but so much into it for that to bother me. I washed my car today and bfound a rock ding in the hood!!!!!!! Oh well, it's just a car still.

Well, the passenger side light is out. So much for being ultra careful during the install...

I will crawl around and see whats up-unfortunately it may have to wait for the weekend...

I got under the car and switched out bulbs. The passenger side still will not light-at this point I can only assume it is the ballast. I have 2 emails into Xenongate, b/c the first one was not returned.

Update: I heard back from Xenongate and they said it is either a blown fuse in the car or the HID wire-harness. I know it's not the car b/c I replaced the stock setup and it works fine. Thing is, I cannot locate any fuses in the HID setup. I opened the balast and everything inside is coated (I am assuming to prevent moisture invading the electronics). Does anyone know where this fuse may be located?

PS: They said not to strap it tight to the car b/c it might blow the fuse-make sure you have insluation when mounting between the balast and the vehicle.
