dissapointed in the dull yellow that I barely notice on or off, thought that xenons might be a good upgrade. I do a lot of evening and night driving.

which ones? what intensity (?), what was is needed for the install.....

blah blah blah, the usual. just getting it lined out, procured and ready for me to do the task without the usual need one more thing to get it done syndrome.

Well of course matching them to your headlights looks really nice. The problem with white or bluish looking fogs is that in the snow and rain or fog you will not benefit from the fogs at all. For functionality in those instances you will need to get 3000K fogs which are yellowish but obviously brighter.

I have 6000k fogs and they do far better than the PIAA Ion Crystals I had in dry or rain conditions. I won't know about snow for a few months yet.

Honestly, I got tired of my fogs not matching the HIDs, thus the upgrade.

I've got a set of HIDs in my fogs, and I don't think I even need the lowbeams with them on lol.

I got a set of 6000k Prolumens with a lifetime warranty. They were under $300, and they are awesome. I recommend getting a set for the fogs. Both for aesthetic purposes, and functional ones.

Since I have no real ambition to install a true HID in my fogs; I opted for the yellow piaa's. They are BRIGHT! Those dull and faded oem's weren't pimping for me.

What type of bulb does the 06-07 M35 use in its fog light? Anyone know?

H11 bulb, OEM is 55w

I have 4300K H3 bulbs for my fogs in my Y34, very nice especially on roads that are not lit. I don't bother to use them otherwise. In the snow they are very helpful as they help decrease the amount of shadows cast on the road as they are extremely close to the OEM headlight temperature (4100K).

So, CakeDaddy

PIAA's

kit or bulb #? Install? details man details. I have to deal with fog, and rain, and ..... so as I way the few things that I can play with I guess HID's matching the lights would be bad.

so would 20's (sh**y byways here)...

so I guess lighting and tint is it.

I was fortunate enough to have the car on a lift when I did mine so it was just a matter of pulling the splash shield off, unbolt the housing and it's out. I would imagine on the ground though it would be a PITA. My install took a whole 30 minutes to do at most so if you have access to a lift then you are on Easy St.

Mine really are nice in the rain as well but I have yet to use them, nor do I plan to in fog. I think that would be a bad idea but considering I only have to drive in fog maybe once a year it's not a big deal.

Good luck.

m tastic- piaa H3 bulbs I believe. No kit needed. 20's in th rain shouldn't be an issue.

creme - it was a pain getting these in. If I had to do it again I would pass on the idea, but since I've done it once; it should take a long the second time arond.
