Hey guys, I recently purchased a 2007 M35x with nav.. The car came with halogens, and I really wanna upgrade em to xenons. I always want to upgrade my fog lights to xenons also.. I do not want a cheap look to it though, I want to keep it lookin classy.

I am considering maybe a 6000k or 8000k bulb... But what do I need to purchase in order to convert my halogens to xenons? I know a kit is involved, can someone lead me to a good website that i can order from and have my local body shop install it? And what bulb type is in my 07 m35x? Sites ask if its an h1 or something? I need help, thanks.

Alex, welcome to boards!

I'd say you should probably sit down a read a little of the specs on your car because you already have stock HID's in your low beams (4300k-4600k I forget without looking). Don't have any reco's on sites for fogs/high beamsGood luck !

Oh nice. If that is the case, can I just purchase 8000k bulbs and replace my halogens than?

yes, you can purchase just the bulbs.... you don't need the HID kit.

6000K, 8000K and 10000K are all available for our car, just remember that the higher temp you go, the more bluish/purple it will look and shorter your light output will be.

i'm in the same boat as you, i don't like the stock 4300K bulbs, they are just not white like most other Lexus and even compare to G35.

I'm going to replace them with 6000K Philips. You can find them on eBay or even Sylvania website.just make sure you get the D2S style......

ok I just got off the phone with a local infiniti dealership. I asked them if I can upgrade to xenon lights even though I have halogens on now, the guy said it won't be plug and play because I'd need new headlamps that are HID ready and I won't even be able to convert it to that. He said I gotta stick to the regular halogens.

Halogen? Did they put halogens in any of the 07Ms? Nahhhhh. I got an idea. Go pull one of your low beam bulbs (pick the easiest of the two) and post a pic of the bulb on this forum. Everyone here is under the impression that you already have HID’s and they are probably correct, so you are more than welcome to go out and purchase 6000k,8000k, etc.. if that is the case, but please post that pic so we can all agree on what you really have. My best bet is that you have the D2r or D2s style bulbs.

OK so I tried to look under the hood to pull out the headlight and it looks confusing. People are tellin me the bumper needs to come off???? And the car did not come with an owner's manual so that sucks too, probably would say in there if it is HID ready

You won't have access to the low beams from under the hood. What I did was to take the front tires off and then remove the front wheel liner. Pretty simple really, it's just the punch clips which can be removed with a flathead and then I believe 4 screws from underneath. Once you remove the liner, you will have access to the low beams by twisting the cap off. It took me about an hour for both sides to replace my halogens.

Why don't you take a pic of your headlights at night for us to look at?

Ok guys, sorry if I am being a pain with this post, but I just want to make sure I can just plug in xenon bulbs instead of buying a kit first. Here's a couple shots of the headlights during day and night, don't know if this helps solve my problem, but here it is anyway ladies and gentleman:

From the video at a certain angle, it looks like your lights are xenons. I could see a contrast between the parking light and the low beam.

You're gunna have to look at the H1 HID kits......The D2S bulbs are only for the cars that originally came with the HID...

Pretty much all the HID kits you can buy now are all PnP....it will be an easy install...
